You might have mistakenly clicked F10, which changes the camera from active to front. Just click F12, or change (3d view poup) camera to active camera. With the persistent disk cache feature, frames stored in the disk cache is retained between sessions. The disk cache is no longer emptied at the end of a session. This protocol is called persistent disk cache. Once you save a project, frames in the disk cache are retained even after you close the project or quit After Effects. In this video, we'll go over how you can clear your disk caches in After Effects, or manually via Finder or Windows Explorer. So if we put that into a composition here, when we preview it, everything's fine, it quickly caches the frames.Clearing your disk cache can save a tremendous amount of space on your hard drive, which becomes increasingly important if you're rocking a smaller SSD. That comes in, but under the hood, the file is being optimized a bit. So let's import here for a moment and I'm going to select from Folder Six, the desert footage here. It essentially has to analyze those files and pre-process them a bit. Those files, by default, will not work when first brought into After Effects. Or maybe you have an MPG4 Video file from a DSLR. Certain media types like MP3 Audio has to be converted so it can be used. What is exactly is a Conform file? Well, it depends upon what you bring into the project. If you're inside of After Effects and you bring that back up, you'll notice that we have the Conformed Media Database. Let me show you what this is going to do. Now besides the media is disk cache, there actually is another cache that could be quite useful.
